2025 - Recap
A little late with this one but hey, I'm still kickin! Sorry for a lot of silence, been trying to get myself together and it's been a bit rough.
1 - Art and Collabs:
Truthfully I've been in a bit of a slump, BUT I've steadily started to climb out of it and hope to keep it that way. I've uploaded less than I would like but I think I've gotten a better grasp on how I want things to be.
- The Underfist Rebashed Collab hosted by @Comic445 is currently in the works.
- Another Secret Santa for the year!
- Aside from a friend's OC I drew, most of my other art has been kinda focused around GTArp which I got pretty carried away with playing over the last several months. So much so, kinda just wrapped em' all up in their own little collection
Animation:
- I didn't get to finishing up as many animated projects as I wanted to. Hoping to change that, but for now here's a small one I did finish up for 2025.
2 - 2025's Goals Completed:
- Mission Objective: Survive: Still here aren't I? Technically a pass, but the goal should always be to both Survive and Thrive, and I'd like to hopefully reach the latter next time around. Check.
- More Art and other creative projects: I'll say half pass here. While I haven't made as much art as I would've compared the previous years, I think I've found a good rhythm to make things a lot more smoother for the new year. Hopefully. Half-Check?
- Some sense of time management: Falls in line a bit with the previous point. I think my time management, while not perfect, I think I'm on the right track for this. Half-Check.
- ORIGINAL STORIES FOR SURE: THIS TIME FOR SURE, THIS I SWEAR: For the most part. Not a whole lot in this department. BUT, I think now I have a good stockpile of things to make my own original stories for. (Organizing it's gonna be a whole other beast tho...) Fail.
- Socialize: Definitely still need to socialize more among Newgrounds. However in an attempt to get better at socializing, I've started playing some GTArp to kinda force myself to become more comfortable speaking and all that. And honestly, I've had a pretty good time. I've met some truly great people who've helped me out a lot and I am a lot more comfortable talking or following through with ideas. Also I took a page and inspiration from another friend and am starting up my own discord! Just make sure y'all follow the rules. Check.
- Self-Study: Nearly forgot but I did pass a certification test. so...Check.
- Twitch Streaming: According to twitch, I've streamed 84 hours this year. Doesn't feel like it, but as I'm getting better at managing my time, I've been able to just stream slightly more consistently. Check.
- Newgrounds Events/Collab: Haven't joined too many collabs this year. There are a couple but not much for me to show at this time. I'll chalk this up to a fail since it falls short from last year.
- Work?: Sadly nothing concrete. I found some part-work but its availability was only for a few months and afterwards, they were unable to hire me on. However I've started to slowly open up my own commissions after multiple people kept asking me. It's still in progress, so if I need to make any adjustments, or there's some tips you want to share, feel free to let me know! Half-Check.
Total: 5.5/9 could be worse.
Although some of these kinda ended up overlapping, it's alright for now but hopefully next year there's more to come!
3 - 2026 PLANNING
- More Art and Animation: Consistently completing my artworks and sticking more towards an original side of things. As well as clearing through my animation project backlog.
- Work: Be it commissions or whatever, gotta make money to live right?
- Time management: Got a lot of good tools at my disposable, just need to hunker down and make use of them to the best of my abilities.
- Socialization: Streaming on Twitch, Making my own Discord, and playing GTArp, I've gotten a little bit better at things. So hopefully this is a sign of good things to come and a lot more activity on my end!
- Newgrounds Events: The MOMENT I clear up my mix of backlog/ideas/whatever the hell goes on in this noggin of mine; More Newgrounds events to join in on.
Consolidating a few of these for less confusion for myself lol.
